Social Networking for the seniors
MySpace for Baby Boomers?
MyTimeHero.com is a free social network for mature adults to meet, and, interact with people of similar ages and experiences.
Though I am not wild about the schmaltzy description of older people as “heroes of time”, the concept might be interesting.
From the site:
Whether you would like to compare the best travel stories or find new Euchre partners, share a recipe or brag about your kids or grandkids, let myTimeHero.com connect you with your peers, new friends, and acquaintances from around the world and around your community.
As our older generations become more comfortable with computers, these kinds of applications might benefit some people who crave social interaction, but, can’t get out of the house as much as they used to.

Sounds very similar to MySpace, actually! Well, whatever enables seniors to connect with peers and find companionship is good by me.
I’ve written a couple related blogs, that might be helpful for seniors looking to go online.
