My MIL needs a will
My 82 year old mother in law is here.
As much talking as I do about planning, I have recently realized that she has no will, or, advance directives. She is in good health, recently retired from full-time work, keeps our kids on occasion, etc.
She owns her home, but, she has 3 other sons in addition to my husband, one of whom has “issues”, and, is sort of an unwanted perma-guest in her home.
If something happens to her suddenly, it could get ugly.
She knows she needs a will, and, has fuzzy plans to get one, but, she doesn’t have a whole lot of money. I know nothing about those do-it-yourself wills, and, I still think she needs an attorney.
Anyone know of any senior resources to help her with this kind of thing? I don’t think there’s a law school clinic or anything in her town.
