Memorial Day
My dad and I went to the cemetery yesterday for Memorial Day here in the States. We’re not usually cemetery go-ers, but, he wanted to do it, so I went along.
It was a beautiful day as we made our rounds to the cemetery where my mother is buried, and the other one where my uncle, my dad’s parents, other brother, and, my dad’s stepmother are buried.
Both cemeteries are historic, so, we actually spent a lot of time exploring the old sites.
However, part of the reason we were there a while was that we couldn’t get out of the place. Who lays these places out, anyway?
Not only figuratively, but, literally, you can get in them, but, you can’t get out.
