Leeza’s Place
Leeza’s Place, started by celebrity (she’s almost 50, can you believe it?), and, Dancing With the Stars contestant, Leeza Gibbons, is a “source of information, strength and purpose for people affected by memory disorders such as Alzheimer’s.
Leeza’s own mother was struck by Alzheimer’s Disease, and, as a result, she formed the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation in response to the growing needs of both those who suffer from memory disorders and their caregivers, and, it is from this effort that Leeza’s Place was born.
According to the website:
Leeza’s Place, serves as an “oasis” for education, empowerment and energy for caregivers and their recently diagnosed loved ones, and is managed day-to-day by the Leeza Care Advocate.
If you or someone you know is affected by a memory disease, please know that Leeza’s Places are being established in communities across the country, and, the website has good information as well.
