Know It Alz
I’m a big fan of Kathy at Know it Alz.
She recounts her adventures caring for her aging father who has Alzheimer’s Disease. He sounds like a delightful man who has kept much of his sense of humor (and she has as well) during this time.
She has many creative strategies for helping him cope with his memory loss, his sweet tooth and his disdain for getting up early in the morning.
It’s also interesting to note the progression of the disease as she describes it. There are some things he remembers from day to day while other things are gone from his memory within a few minutes.
But, it looks like chocolate can overcome even Alzheimer’s Disease.
