Intergenerational friendships
Just so you don’t think that all interactions between generations are fraught with hospital visits, and, wills, BoomerGirl.com has a nice story, Different Generations Can Enjoy Camraderie:
Often, friendships emerge when people are in the same life stage. Whether they meet at school or work, they are usually similar in age and relate to each other. But, as many adults are learning, having friends from different generations can be just as satisfying, if not illuminating. Imagine time with your favorite relative, without the baggage of expectations or family dynamics.
Actually, I had never really given it much thought until I read that.
Like many people, most of my friends are my age, and, in my life stage, but, I do have a couple of friends from other generations.
Granted, I inherited one from my mother (who may not be my friend much longer if I don’t call her, soon), but, I don’t think I’ve ever consciously thought, “Hey, you’re a lot older than I am, look at that!”
But, now that I read this, it is kind of nice to have what I have.

Extended family can be lots of fun. I don’t get to see mine but about once a decade and most of them are way older than me but I dig them.
I hope there will be more visits for y’all.
