Grand Travel
Sometimes, I lose perspective here and I have to remember that not all aging parents are infirm, or are my dad.
Many Sandwich Generation-ers have parents who are healthy enough to enjoy an active role with their grandchildren. Some grandparents are even planning vacations with the grandkids and no parents are allowed.
I ran across Grand Travel. a company that plans tours especially for grandparents and grandchildren. While these specific trips are certainly not for everyone, I just think it’s interesting that it’s popular enough to warrant businesses dedicated to this trend.
It’s probably more common for all generations to travel together on a summer vacation. We have been doing that since the kids were born.
This year, the trip to the beach with my dad will include my mother-in-law. Be sure to stay tuned for this first of it’s kind event here in a few months.
