GovBenefits.gov
Are there United States government benefit programs available to help you or your aging parents?
GovBenefits.gov is a partnership of Federal agencies with a shared vision to provide improved, personalized access to government assistance programs.
You can search for Federal or State benefits, browse by category, or take a confidential online screening tool that does not require your name, phone number, Social Security number, or any other information that could be used to identify you.
You answer a series of questions about yourself, and then GovBenefits.gov returns a list of government benefit programs you may be eligible to receive along with information about how you can apply.
The site includes information on a variety of benefit and assistance programs for veterans, seniors, students, teachers, children, people with disabilities, dependents, disaster victims, farmers, caregivers, job seekers, prospective homeowners, and more.
When I searched for benefits in my state for senior citizens (”over age 54″ - ouch) it returned 32 programs I could investigate.
Be sure to check it out, even if you don’t have an immediate need, it’s always nice to know what’s out there.

As far as I am concerned this is just busy work for the poor. I wrote a message and tried to send it but it was cleared off, because I did not type in whole name what a joke.
