Fresh from the “What now?” files
My dad’s 86 year old brother is not doing well. Normally out and about, he even works full time, he is refusing to go to the hospital since he is a Christian Scientist.
Like my father, he is also a Marine. My father outranks him, and, is getting ready to order him to go to the hospital, anyway. We think he has pneumonia.
My uncle is about 10 hours away, so, we just have to rely on what we hear right now. If anything happens, we will have to go there, since my father is the executor of the will.
If you are new around here, my mother died, 6 months ago, after a 3 year battle with cancer. Immediately after that, my dad had back problems, and, was in a wheelchair for a couple of months, and, he had surgery.
He really needs a break from all this.

Elizabeth, sounds like you need a break too! Does your uncle have children who are looking after him? I have enough trouble keeping up with Mom and step-dad! God bless you as you keep all the balls in the air!
