Dad update

Some of you have been kind enough to ask about my dad, lately.

He’s doing well, still on his interior decorating binge, and, walking for exercise, now.

I think he’s been a bit down lately, but, it seems to be getting better. He’s not one to “talk about it”, so, I don’t think there’s much I can do. I suspect this is really the first time he’s had time to think about my mother’s death what with his surgery last fall, and, general school busyness.

Also, their wedding anniversary is coming up. I’m not sure how to handle that, I guess we’ll just take it as it comes. It may be no big deal, we’ll see.

We’re also preparing to go on vacation with him in a few weeks, this will be the first one for him without my mother. I think he’ll be fine, I think he’s just really ready for a vacation!

Then, before we know it, July 20th will roll around, and, it’ll be the first anniversary of her death. Seems like it just happened, and, it was forever ago all at once.
