In Australia, it seems that the Sandwich Generation is becoming a recognized voting demographic, and, the candidates are actively seeking their votes:
(Prime Minister) Mr Howard cited child care and flexibility in the workplace as two areas where the Government could help this constituency.
Looks like these needs know no country boundaries.
