Blood test to predict Alzheimer’s Disease
An interesting study from Stanford University School of Medicine has produced a blood test that might predict the risk of Alzheimer’s Disease.
As reported in Science Daily:
They found that the blood test could indicate who had Alzheimer’s with 90 percent agreement with clinical diagnoses, and could predict the onset of Alzheimer’s two to six years before symptoms appeared.
But, then again, if we develop enough self-discipline, then Alzheimer’s wont affect us, anyway?
Either way, as with any fatal disease, I’m not sure if I’d want to know ahead of time if I’m going to get it or not, but, I hope this Alzheimer’s discovery is also a step closer to preventing it in the first place.
