An Internet conflicted?
When you look up “aging blog” on Google, the first entry is “Time Goes By - What It’s Really Like to Get Older” (one of my favorite blogs), and, immediatelly following that is a link for “Fight Aging!”.
Even though people will claim it’s just the “signs of aging” that people want to fight, it is, in a way, disturbing to me in light of my recent experiences with my parents.
Though it’s important to look your best (something I apparently forgot, today) do we forget that we are all aging every day? Though I do joke about it sometimes, why is that a bad thing?
If we don’t age, I’m pretty sure the altenative is not being around.

At some point, we realize that every day, above ground, has its good points.

I’ve so far made it to the age of 60. I don’t mind being my age, or the wrinkles, or the gray hair (I’m a guy–I’m glad I have hair). The problem is really the steadily gathering aches and pains. When all is said and done, the body is a machine that wears out. That process can be painful. The most charitable spin I can put on it is that when people talk about “fighting age” it’s really a shorthand for trying to stay healthy.
