Adult supervision required
We’re on vacation at the beach with my dad and my mother-in law.
I felt like I hadn’t seen my husband this whole trip and I couldn’t figure out why.
Then it dawned on me that one of us has to be with the kids (swimming and at the beach) and the other one has to be with the parents at the beach, lest my mother-in-law with a broken foot or my dad with a bum back and knee get a wild hair and try to pick up all the beach equipment and make the walk back to the beach house, or one of them gets tangled up in a beach chair or something.
Again, I’m glad we are able to take this kind of trip, but it’s just exhausting in ways I wasn’t expecting.

Your kids will have fond memories of this vacation that they can hold on to. It’s nice that you are all together. Very good of you to be the one to make it possible. Take lots of pictures!
